Grimes was raised in Dayton Ohio the son of the Dayton, Ohio Pentecostal pastor. Grimes was awarded his diploma as a high school student in Dayton Christian High School, in 2002. Luke Grimes is the son of Randy Grimes a Pentecostal minister and angie Barker. There are three sisters: Racheal Abby Grimes and Seth Grimes. Luke Grimes was raised in the strictest of religious families. He was a student at Dayton Christian High School. Luke graduated from Dayton Christian High School in 2002. Then, he was able to move from Dayton to New York City, where he pursued his acting dream. He was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he studied acting for two consecutive years. Then he also had singing and guitar lessons to enhance his musical abilities.
