MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him become a part of mainstream Latin music. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. This album peaked at eight spots on the Top Latin Albums charts. Later in the year, the singer teamed with Ozuna to make Vaina Loca that was a Top Five hit. He released in 2020 the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia with Noriel. Later in 2021 he performed the duet for TINI's streaming hit track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo is a product of a family of musicians his mother and older brother are musicians. In interviews he's talked about the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his early years, he learned to play saxophone guitar ukulele and piano. His initial goal was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take lessons in singing with a Cuban instructor. As a outcome of discovering his talents in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
